Never judge your own thoughts. You are not your thoughts. They do not define who you are. Do not try to control them, for you will fail. Let them be like a feather in the wind. Observe them. Study them. Understand them. And finally, accept them. This is all you can do.
We tend to identify with our thoughts so much that we often forget they are separate from us. By understanding that we are not our thoughts, we can observe them with more objectivity and less attachment.
Be ready to re-evaluate everything, toss aside things you do not need, do not stick to something out of comfort. You are not what goes on in your head. All of these things exist around your essence.
Your consciousness will remain. Your essential nature is unchanging. All else is in a state of flux for as long as you live.
